First Day of Ballet & a HILARIOUS Video

BalletDancerAs I mentioned yesterday, I signed McKenzie up for her first Ballet class. She loved it! She didn’t have the right shoes today (oops), but it went great. She was incredibly nervous at first, but one of her 4K friends happens to be in the class, so she settled in quickly. Phew! Afterward we went swimming. The YMCA here has an awesome little splash pad for kids with dumping buckets, squirt gun thingys, and a little water slide. She loved that too. Maybe I’ll take her swimming every morning? It was a fun day, and really nice for me to get out of the house. Ballet

And since yesterday was my bad day, I watched this video like 5 times. It made me laugh so hard! And it’s only a minute long, soooooooo check it out and laugh your butts off too…I was definitely not expecting that! And I like the guy’s reaction at the end, priceless. Haha. Another one that makes me crack up is this drive-thru prank. Are there any videos that never fail to make you laugh?! Laughter is the best medicine, after all, so do share. ;)

  1. Soooo adorable! I used to teach ballet classes for little kids at the Y in Appleton, and I loved it. I actually still have my first pair of ballet shoes – they are white, about five inches long, and have an R and an L on the bottoms. I’m sure it was fun to watch too :)

  2. I just saw your comment on Liz’s blog (and couldn’t figure out how to reply to it on there), but I wanted to tell you that Woodman’s has lots of kombucha (at least three brands). The one I normally get is Synergy and it’s $3.29 a bottle. I suggest trying the Trilogy or Gingerberry (if you like a mild ginger flavor) first. I like the chia ones, but you might want to ease into those because of the odd texture. Try one and let me know what you think! If you don’t go to Woodman’s, Hyvee (for about the same price) and even Copp’s (for an extra dollar!) also sell kombucha.

      • At Woodman’s it is in the produce section on the left wall. It’s by the coconut water, pomegranate juice, etc. From what I have read, it is safe, and I don’t drink it very often (once every other week). I probably wouldn’t drink homemade kombucha while pregnant though. Some websites suggest avoiding it because it does contain a trace amount of alcohol. If you’re concerned, do a little research and/or talk to your doc. The benefits of it are great for pregnant women though: improved energy, digestion, and skin (but those are probably if you’re drinking it regularly).
